WELCOME TO MHL. BY MARGARET HOWELL

Margaret Howell is a contemporary British clothing designer who has worked successfully in men’s and women’s clothing for over five decades. Howell has been a strong, if quiet, presence in British design, known for valuing material, make and style.

Established in 1970 and incorporated in 1987, Margaret Howell Limited is internationally recognised with more than 100 shops and concessions in London, Paris, Florence and throughout Japan.  

Introduced in 2003, the MHL. label evolved from an attraction to the functional details and durable cotton fabrics found in workwear. The cloth and manufacturing processes are necessarily tougher than the Margaret Howell collection, utilising coarser thread, bar-tacking, twin needle stitching and signature corozo brace buttons.  

MHL. on New Cavendish Street stocks womenswear, menswear and a small selection of homeware.
