Out and About
Dining
Barbados isn’t known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean for nothing and whilst you’ll want to eat at The Rockley on a couple of nights, we highly recommend that you try some of the local dining experiences, whether it’s the Friday ‘Lime’ at Oistin’s, a cutter from Cuz on Pebbles beach or heading to the Gap for dinner or try one of our Dine & Sign partners.
Shopping
Whilst there are some cool, locally owned boutiques on the south coast that we highly recommend that you explore, we also recommend heading into Bridgetown for the best shopping experience. Sheraton Mall is where the locals go, especially if you are looking for something specific.
Medical
If you need medical assistance, please contact the Front Desk team. Doctors are available on call, or Elcourt Clinic is five minutes away by taxi. Lewis’s pharmacy is just a two minute walk away from the hotel.
Turtles
Our island is blessed with being home to a variety of Turtles. Breeding season is May – October and many visitors are lucky enough to experience a Turtle laying her eggs or seeing the babies hatching.
Religion
Many faiths are followed on the island with the primary religion being Christian. The closest church is St Patrick’s Catholic Church which is just five minutes in a local ZR van or a taxi. The local team can assist with information relating to service times or alternative faith services.
